C.P. Company sizing guide: how do jackets, sweatshirts and t-shirts fit?

C.P. Company is an Italian brand, and like many Italian brands, it runs fairly slim. Second-hand, you cannot always try things on: this guide gives you the benchmarks we use in store to advise our customers.

The general rule

For a man who normally wears a M in a standard French or American label:

• Jackets: take your usual size for a regular fit, one size up if you wear thick layers underneath.
• Sweatshirts and hoodies: usual size for a fitted look, +1 for a loose streetwear look.
• T-shirts: usual size, the cut is straight and true.

C.P. Company jackets

This is the brand's signature piece (Goggle jacket, Mille Miglia, overshirts). The cuts are regular to slightly tapered. Two things to watch:

• The shoulders are structured: if you are between two sizes, take the larger one.
• The Lens and Goggle models size consistently with each other: if you know your size in one model, it transfers.

Sweatshirts and hoodies

C.P. Company fleece is thick and holds its shape well. The cut is regular, neither oversized nor skinny. For the roomy look streetwear calls for, size up without hesitation: the dropped shoulders still sit cleanly.

T-shirts

Straight cut, true to the stated size. The jersey is high quality and stretches very little in the wash (wash at 30 °C to protect the garment dyeing).

The foolproof second-hand method: measure

Rather than trusting the label, measure a garment that fits you well and compare:

1. Chest width: armpit to armpit, garment laid flat, multiplied by two.
2. Length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom of the garment.
3. Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the cuff.

Does C.P. Company fit like Stone Island?

Do junior sizes work for adults?

The large junior sizes (age 14) are roughly equivalent to an adult XS-S. It is a well-known trick for paying less for the iconic models.

How do you wash a garment-dyed C.P. Company?

Wash at 30 °C, gentle spin, no tumble dryer. Garment dyeing is alive: a wash that is too hot dulls it permanently.
